Title: Ok Cheap Bike Light - But Bring a Spare

Item Resource Page: Generic-5LEDBikeLight

Pros: - Bright Light
- Standard Batteries (AAAs)
- Quick Release (though buggy)
- Waterproof (Manufacturer says you can even take it diving, for $1.50 for a spare and a few old half-dead AAAs I may actually give this a try )
- Easy to Mount

Cons: - Quick Release should be towards you and not away from you, this makes it easy for the light to fall off. I've lost mine 3 or 4 times and once I didn't even notice until I tried to turn it on 30 seconds later. The way it is designed a bump can potentially dislodge it so be careful how you tilt it and put some electrical or other tape around it if you want to be sure it'll stay on.
- 4 AAAs - but you can use rechargables
- My mechanism was broken to start with, one of the screws was loose and this resulted in the entire thing coming apart when I first took it apart. I had to glue it back together. Two other units I bought for myself and family have not had this problem though. Still worth noting though. It's a generic Chinese device and the quality control isn't always there. Buy a spare if you really need it. A friend of mine has one that goes off intermittently as well.

Price Paid: $1.50 CAD

Overall Rating: 6/10

Other Info: I replaced the original bike headlight  thumbnail and picture with some others I found, here is the original I replaced for the record:

I had mine fall off the bike three times, once was my own stupidity messing with it, but the other 2 I didn't touch it and it should have stayed secured. The way the quick release works is flawed. For this price though, it is still worth it. Both times I was able to find all 4 parts + the batteries and assemble them back together with only minor wear and no damage to the functionality. I got one silver and one black myself, both without logo, at Dollarama.

Make sure you have another spare light with you just incase.
